Song Recommendation #7

HAPPINESS (ACOUSTIC)- NEEDTOBREATHE

Happiness is entirely subjective.

What even makes a person happy? It depends on the person.

Some people have it all the time, others would do anything in their power to get it.

Me? I’m unsure.

Yes, there are times when my smile is beaming brighter than the sun, but there are also times when my tears are waterfalls rolling down my face and I’m trying to keep noise to a minimum.

When I’m happy, I feel like I’m on top of the world. I smile and others smile, and life is good.

If I was like this most of the time (always being happy is too much to ask for) I would be fine.

But when I’m upset, it’s never just a little. It takes my mind and throws it into an abyss. This cliff is every bad thought and every fear I’ve ever had. It’s like jumping from my IQ to my ego.

It’s gotten to the point in which being truly happy is a rarity. It’s now an acceptable use of “you don’t see THAT every day”.

But it’s okay because I know things will turn around someday. I’m still adventuring in my pursuit of happiness.

See you guys next time!

Song Recommendation #6

“Hold on to me,

‘Cause I’m a little unsteady”

UNSTEADY- X AMBASSADORS (VHS)

Look at that.. Already turning back on what I said (but only this once [probably not])

I miss her touch. I miss her voice. I miss her face. I miss her eyes, looking lovingly into mine.

I miss everything about her.

I’ve convinced myself that if she was here everything would be okay. And it would be.

But she can’t be here right now. She’s hours away, and I am beyond ready to go back to school just so I can see her.

Because I need to know that everything’s okay.

See you guys next time!

Song Recommendation(s) #5

Maybe I’m better off dead?
If I was, would it finally be enough
To shut out all those voices in my head?

BETTER OFF DEAD- SLEEPING WITH SIRENS (MADNESS)

Where did I go wrong?
I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

HOW TO SAVE A LIFE- THE FRAY (HOW TO SAVE A LIFE)

These songs.. They’re scarily accurate. They depict exactly how it feels when you or someone you know is feeling suicidal. I listen to these songs when I’m feeling depressed.

That’s really all.. See you guys next time!

“Song” recommendation #4

Yes, I know, I am not very good at keeping myself within limits I set.

But this composer, Sean Beeson, followed me on Twitter. Why, you may ask? I have absolutely no idea. What I do know is that his music is amazing (especially Ex Atmos: Solar Symphony)

I’m not exactly a connoisseur of music, but I highly recommend Ex Atmos: Solar Symphony, especially if you’re the classical type.

You can listen to it on Spotify!

Song Recommendation #3

LEMON EYES- MEG MYERS (SORRY)

I find this song speaks to me on a personal level (that is, if I’m interpreting the lyrics correctly). If I’m correct, the song talks about how her partner doesn’t realize just how in love with them she is, and that there’s no reason to be jealous. I seem to have a problem with jealousy, so this song reminds me that I don’t have to be jealous of anyone..

Listen to it here!

See you guys next time!

Song recommendation #1

Okay, this first week isn’t a song. It’s a band.

If you haven’t already, you should most definitely take a listen to Foo Fighters. Some of your favorite songs might be by them and you don’t even know it. That’s what happened to me.

Here are some of my favorites:

Best of you- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_L4Rixya64

My hero- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqWRaAF6_WY

Walk- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ax6UXyAXSZo

If you like rock, you’ll love them.

See you guys next time!
